Today (well yesterday Saturday/ Sunday June 5th) I arrived in Milan after the 8 hour flight from JFK. It surprised me how occupied I kept myself on the flight. The man sitting next to me was normal and very and very nice. It was ironic because as he was explaining how he has been to Italy for probably 30 times now!!!!! and that June 4 was the first time he went to Italy 30 years ago which I found funny. I finally arrived in Italy at 8:45 and at the hotel a little before 1:00. The ride over here there was not much to see, but when we finally arrived at the hotel my first impression was "wooooow this is small" !!! I was surprisingly very awake and energetic but I knew I would soon crash soooon! and I did. . . . Before that, our group had a wonderful and verrrry filling meal of my absolute favorite food that i can live off of. . . pizza! the pizza was half the size of the table. I could taste every flavor! I learned my first cultural difference experience, when I ordered coffee thinking (assuming) it would be American coffee, but instead it was probably a cm bigger than a shot of espresso. (Note to self cafe americano = the coffee size I want).
Overall the day or two days were full of cultural experiences, my first impression of the Italian people is that they are very laid back and very calm. They are people who are very easy to be around and bring positive energy. I am soo very excited to meet everyone we are working with, and learn a little Italian, about the cultural and most importantly FASHION !
